About Me
I write mainly Science Fiction and Fantasy, with the occasional bout of literary fiction.
I've several short stories published in a few magazines and anthologies (head to Publications to see them), and I'm a full SFWA member and part of CODEX.
I've completed two novels (at least two that I feel comfortable calling that) and actively looking for an agent that would love at least one of them, and working on my third.

Bio
Marco Cultrera was born in Rome, Italy, and lives in Ottawa, Canada. After a start as a theoretical physicist, he built a two-decade long career as a videogame writer, creative director and game designer, punctuated by a bout as stay-at-home dad of three daughters and, more recently, four cats.

My novelette "The Preordained Life of Stemser Jordana" will be published by Abyss and Apex in April 1, 2027!
This is one of my dream markets for one of my favorite stories, so I couldn't be happier.
Hopefully this is a precursor of more to come in 2026!

I got mentioned in Ellen Datlow's The Best Horror of the Year 16 for my story "I Clean the Monster thaf Killed My Husband Every Morning." in the Novus Monstrum anthology.
Couldn't be more proud of being in the company of such legends of the genre.

Welcome to my new website! For the foreseeable future, I will just use it as a place where I can link my Publications. I don't plan to update it too much, outside of that.
Also apologies for the Wix ads, but I can't justify the expense to switch a paid version quite yet.
